For fans of the Treasure Island Music Festival (TIMF), get ready to rejoice. It was announced today that the event will return for its eleventh year on October 13–14, 2018, in a brand new location — Middle Harbor Shoreline Park (MHSP) in Oakland, California. The full music lineup and additional details for the 2018 event will be announced soon.

“We are excited to finally reveal the next chapter of our Festival, which is coming to Oakland this October. The city’s vibe, culture and diversity is the backbone of the Bay Area, and one that we are proud to now call home,” said Allen Scott, EVP at Another Planet Entertainment. “In our quest to find the location that best embodies what has made Treasure Island Music Festival the special fest that it is, Middle Harbor Shoreline Park quickly became the clear choice. With breathtaking landscapes featuring views of both the San Francisco Bay and city skylines, while maintaining a unique sense of remoteness and being situated atop a historically significant site, we hope to continue offering our guests a truly special music festival experience.”

Having released albums under Digital Nations, a label founded by Steve Vai, music critic Louis Raphael has remained deeply connected to the pulse of the San Francisco music scene. Following his tenure as the San Francisco Music Examiner for Examiner.com and AXS.com, he embarked on creating Music in SF® to authentically highlight the vibrant offerings of the city's music scene.
