Sweden’s Vanbot Drops New Single

in New Music by

Today, Vanbot drops the third single from the album, “Siberia, that was written and recorded entirely on the Trans-Siberian Railway. Vanbot, Johannes Berglund, and Petter Winnberg of Amason set out on a seventeen-day journey from Moscow to Beijing where they wrote and recorded the entire LP.

The idea was to remove themselves from the traditional recording studio and to capture what would come out of being in a constant state of motion and to challenge traditional recording practices. Along the way they discovered something magical in the contrast of being isolated on the train while moving through the Siberian tundra.

Cinematographer Pia Lehto and TV producer Frida Åberg accompanied Vanbot on this trip to make a documentary about the project. You can watch a teaser video for the upcoming documentary below.

‘Siberia’ will be released April 7.
