Today, San Francisco Parks Alliance and Noise Pop announced the third season of Due South, the free outdoor concert series hosted at Jerry Garcia Amphitheater in McLaren Park.

After expanding from three to four concerts for its third season this summer, Due South kicks off next month with an opening concert on July 29 featuring two Oakland-based acts, Shannon and the Clams and James Wavey. Other concerts include Cherry Glazerr / Momma / King Isis (August 26), Y La Bamba / Marinero / Loco Bloco (September 16), and Sheila E & The E-Prince / Satya (October 7). Fans can RSVP using this link for a chance to win reserved seating and fun prizes at each concert.

With a discography that includes albums on Digital Nations (a Steve Vai imprint), music critic Louis Raphael has always kept a pulse on the San Francisco music scene. After years as the San Francisco Music Examiner for Examiner.com and AXS.com, he decided to start Music in SF® as a way to showcase what the San Francisco music scene really has to offer.
