Fantastic Negrito to Start Oakland Based Record Label

in Music News by

Fantastic Negrito has launched a Fund Me campaign to launch his own record label, Storefront Records, right here in West Oakland, CA.

According to Negrito the idea stemmed from a simple question he had asked himself: “’What do I do after winning my 3rd consecutive Grammy?’ Ahhh start an Oakland-based record label owned and operated by artists and musicians.”

“I want to run a record label from an artist’s perspective. Storefront Records will be about collaborative works. There is so so much untapped talent in the Bay Area. I want to walk in the footsteps of the unique excellence of my Bay Area predecessors.”
