Black Crows singer Chris Robinson is heading back on the road with a brand new outfit entitled “As the Crow Flies” with a stop at the Fox in Oakland on May 11. The group is comprised of five talented musicians including guitarists Marcus King and Audley Freed, keyboardist Adam MacDougall, bassist Andy Hess and drummer Tony Leone and will perform selections off of the Black Crows catalog.
“Spring will be sprung and the songs will be sung. This crow will fly high with old friends and new. Bring on, bring on! I can’t wait to hit the stage with some rock ‘n’ roll for the ages,” says Robinson. “It’s been five years since I’ve had the privilege of singing these songs and with Audley, Marcus, Andy, Adam and Tony all onboard, a soulful rockin’ funky good time is guaranteed!”
The tour will kick-off at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY, then head South for performances at Wanee Music Festival in Live Oak, FL, The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and The Joy Theater in New Orleans for a performance at the Jazz & Heritage Festival. The band will then head West for stops at The Ogden Theatre in Denver, The Wiltern in Los Angeles and The Fox in Oakland before concluding on May 13 at Crystal Ballroom in Portland.
