Slash Kicks Off North American Tour in San Francisco

in SF Concert Reviews by

Slash with Miles Kennedy and the Conspirators kicked off their latest North American tour at the Warfield in style last night. Both looking lean and mean they came out guns blazing and ripped through a 2-hour set of songs from all four of Slash’s solo material. Interestingly only one song from Guns N Roses, “Nightrain,” was heard the entire night. But who can blame him really? After touring nonstop with Axl and the gang since the announcement of their big reunion, the break was probably much needed.

The setlist this time around included “Call of the Wild” “Driving Rain,” “By The Sword,” “Back From Cali,” “Starlight,” “World On Fire” and “Anastasia.” “Shadow Life,” as well as “We Are All Gonna Die” and “Doctor Alibi,” brought bassist Todd Kerns center stage to handle lead vocal duties.

About the tour Slash was quoted as saying in a press release, “Every night is chasing that magic and when it all happens, it’s euphoric.”

Check out some photos of the euphoria he speaks of below. The tour continues tonight in Seattle and will include festival stops at Heavy Montreal in Quebec on July 28 and at Lollapalooza on August 4 in Chicago, IL. For complete tour dates CLICK HERE.
