Ville Vale Goes Solo in San Francisco

in SF Concert Reviews by

Ville Valo, the iconic Finnish rock singer, and songwriter of HIM delivered an unforgettable performance last night in San Francisco. Flying solo this time, he took the stage and captivated the audience with his magnetic presence, crooner-like voice, and unassuming stage presence.

The concert had a moody, atmospheric ambiance that perfectly complemented Ville Valo’s haunting melodies and lyrics. And of course, the lighting and visual effects included the famous heartogram icon that solidified an era in emo-hard rock history.

Valo’s vocals were impressive, as he showcased his incredible range and control throughout the concert. He effortlessly transitioned between his solo stuff along with HIM classics like “Poison Girl”, “Right Here in my Arms”, and “Wings of a Butterfly.” All the while connecting with an audience that hung on his every breath.

One standout moment was when Valo performed HIM’s hit song “Join Me In Death,” which had the entire crowd singing along and swaying to the music. It was a powerful and emotional moment that perfectly captured the essence of the concert from one of Finland’s most successful artists of all time.
