TIMF Relaunches at New Location in Oakland

in Music News by

The Treasure Island Music Festival relaunched in its new location at the Middle Harbor Shoreline Park in Oakland last night. The festival, which is celebrating its 11 year anniversary offered concertgoers some of the hottest musical acts around, performing live behind stunning background views of the San Francisco skyline.

The lineup this year included hot breakthrough acts like Santigold, Silk City, Anime, Pusha T and headliner, A$AP Rocky. For the foodies in attendance, there were lots of food options. Everything from Ramen to Pizza, to Vegan options as well as tasty desserts like ice cream tacos, were all within short walking distances from the two main stages.

Local vendors and some interesting art were also on display.  Barry Crawford’s Mechateuthis, first presented at Burning Man made a big impression, as did Peter Hazel’s Fly By, which greeted festival attendees upon arrival.

Check out the photo gallery below for a selection of photos from the event. For those local and interested in attending, the festival continues today.
