Noise Pop Industries and Civic Joy Fund have announced that their Summer of Music series will end its 2024 season with a Meadow Party on Sunday, October 20, featuring a headlining performance by Thundercat. This event marks the conclusion of the second season of the program, which hosted over 200 Bay Area performers in mini-concerts across 85 local businesses, aiming to revitalize San Francisco’s streets.

The Meadow Party will be free, open to all ages, and will include performances from Thundercat, Lee Fields, and Bay Area cumbia band Combo Tezeta, with pop-up sets by Summer of Music performers. Attendees can enjoy local vendors, food trucks, and artisans.

Originally launched to support post-pandemic recovery for businesses, Summer of Music expanded this year to offer live performances across six neighborhoods. This grand finale celebrates the series’ impact on local music, community, and the city’s culture.

Having released albums under Digital Nations, a label founded by Steve Vai, music critic Louis Raphael has remained deeply connected to the pulse of the San Francisco music scene. Following his tenure as the San Francisco Music Examiner for Examiner.com and AXS.com, he embarked on creating Music in SF® to authentically highlight the vibrant offerings of the city's music scene.
