MUSIC IN SF TONIGHT: The Record Company Plays the Great American Music Hall

in Music News by

Looking for something to do Saturday night? Don’t pass up the chance to check out The Record Company as they hit the Great American Music Hall stage.

If you’ve never heard of this band, they’re equally inspired by early electric blues as they are with Soul and Americana. The band perfected their sound by hanging some vintage mics in the singer’s Los Feliz, CA living room, then as now the site of all of the trio’s writing, rehearsing, recording, and mixing.

Two self-released EPs brought them national attention and radio airplay, as did a remarkable work ethic that has seen the band spend much of the past half decade on the road. They’ve also rocked countless headline shows, festivals, and radio concerts, while sharing international stages and spotlights with such luminaries as B.B. King, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Buddy Guy, Charles Bradley, Robert Randolph, The Wood Brothers, Social Distortion, and Blackberry Smoke.
