Another Planet Entertainment (APE), in partnership with the City of San Francisco and the Department of Recreation & Parks, is thrilled to announce the next installment of its free 2024 concert series. The event will feature American rock band Portugal. The Man with support from SNACKTIME and will take place on Saturday, September 20, at Civic Center Plaza. This is the second show in APE’s three-part concert series, which aims to keep downtown San Francisco vibrant with live music, entertainment, and arts.
Portugal. The Man, originally from Alaska and now based in Portland, has become a major force in rock music, known for their live performances. Their 2017 album Woodstock gained widespread acclaim, particularly for the GRAMMY-winning single “Feel It Still.” The band will perform in support of their 2023 album Chris Black Changed My Life and their collaboration single “Bittersweet” with LP Giobbi.
This concert follows the successful Dirtybird ‘Back To Baysics’ event on July 21 at Embarcadero Plaza and APE’s previous Civic Center Plaza concert featuring Fred again.. x Skrillex, which sold out in record time and attracted 25,000 fans.
