Phoenix Finally Releases New Music

in New Music by

Phoenix have just dropped a new single from their forthcoming album, Ti Amo, out on June 9. The song premiered earlier yesterday on Sirius XM Alt Nation.

Says the band about the song “Ti Amo”:
“‘Ti Amo’ is a romantic song about the tragedy of unreciprocated love and desire –
💘 100% lover-0% violence💘”

It’s been a long time coming for Phoenix that hasn’t put anything out since 2013’s critics favorite Bankrupt! The new album is – in the band’s own words – “an album about simple pure emotions: love, desire, lust and innocence, it’s also a record about our European, Latin roots, a fantasized version of Italy: a lost paradise made of eternal Roman summers (hyper-light, hyper-clarity, pistachio gelato), juke-boxes on the beach, Monica Vitti and Marcello Mastroiani, fearless desire and Antique marble statues.”

Phoenix are currently touring through the U.S., where they will headline Hangout Festival this Friday, May 19th, as well as Governor’s Ball on Saturday, June 3rd. All tour dates are listed below.
