Phantogram New LP Debuts in Top 5 on Billboard

in Music News by

Phantogram’s third studio album, “Three,” debuted on the Billboard 200 this week. Their hit single “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore” continues to climb radio charts, currently approaching Top 5 at Alternative. Reviews for the album have also been very favorable. Here are just a few from a press release that went out this morning.

“Never before have the duo sounded so animated, self-assured, or synchronized. Barthel effortlessly alternates between half-rapped verses and cooed hooks, with Carter meeting every vocal pivot with a blast of bass, a frigid synth melody, or a distorted guitar riff.” – PITCHFORK

“Three is Phantogram’s most aggressive, accomplished, and humanizing work to date.” – NYLON

“Electro-pop duo’s forthcoming LP promises to be most brooding work to date” – ROLLING STONE

“Stakes are high for this new album, but Phantogram keep their winning streak going.” -STEREOGUM

“This upstate New York electro-pop duo makes tight, buzzing kiss-offs perfect for scoring teen-movie debauchery. A Top 40 audience may be in reach, if the masses are feeling edgy.” – NEW YORK TIMES

“Synthy bangers like “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore” will shoot the duo to mainstream fame.” – PEOPLE
