For San Francisco residents planning on day-trippin’ to Los Angeles for Labor Day weekend, be sure to stop by Exposition Park to celebrate and commemorate both the history and future of the Labor Day holiday at Working Californians’ Fifth Annual Labor Day Music Festival.  This annual event benefits working men, women and their families, and recognizes labor victories made this past year throughout Los Angeles and Southern California.
This year’s superstar line-up features Hip-Hop legend Snoop Dogg, GRAMMY award-winning American Chicano Rock Band Los Lonely Boys; Latin-Jazz musician Poncho Sanchez; The New Orleans All-Star Band featuring Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductee Dr. John, James Andrews, Herlin Riley and Detroit Brooks; The Dennis Jones Band; and The Victor Orlando Orchestra and Fun-Ja-La; Cuban Funk.
“We’re not only excited, but honored, to have these incredible artists join us this year at Working Californians’ Labor Day concert,” said Brian D’Arcy, Co-Chair of Working Californians. “I can’t image a better way to celebrate our fifth year running than honoring the working men and women of California with our most exciting line-up yet!”
“Each year Working Californians hosts the largest Labor Day celebration by drawing star power to support our goals and bring outside attention to our mission of spurring inclusive economic growth, unifying diverse groups and creating quality jobs,” Marvin Kropke, Co-Chair of Working Californians. “We are humbled and overwhelmed by the award-winning artists here supporting our cause and, more importantly, the families who are enjoying this deserving time of celebration.”
