French rappers PNL have released a video for ‘Bene’, a track from their September 2016 album, ‘Dans La Legende’, released independently on their own QLF Records. The video is the third in a four part video series, following Naha and Onizuka, each of which garnered over 5 million views within the first 48 hours of their release.

PNL are currently setting a plethora of musical records in France for ‘Dans La Legende’ – the album turned platinum within the first two weeks of its release and one of the singles, ‘Naha’, beat Rihanna’s ‘Work’ as the most streamed track within the first 24 hours of release, reaching 3.6 million streams against Rihanna’s 2.6 million. The album generated the most sales on iTunes France in 2016. These numbers are so astonishing that the major labels, whom the brothers have chosen not to sign with and instead remain fully independent, have been investigating PNL’s streaming numbers to make sure there is no foul play. The streaming platforms reported that PNL’s numbers are one hundred percent accurate and that the brothers really are challenging the old model of the music industry with their unique marketing campaigns, rare live performances and by the way they interact with their fans through the internet.

The brothers’ are confirmed to play their first ever North American show this April with a Sunday evening performance at Coachella in Palm Springs. This will be the first time a French urban act has played the festival. Check out their FADER cover story HERE.
