Erykah Badu recently announced a show at the Armory in San Francisco, performing with Thundercat. The always interesting singer also released a Fela Kuti Box Set #4, full of selections hand-picked by her.
About the release Erykah said, “Fela Kuti is a Fucking Genius. Please listen to these tracks, preferably with a nice blunt.. with a nice slow burn.”
The singer’s been quite on a roll recently and performed a medley of her hit “On & On” and a cover of Fela Kuti’s “Sorrow Tears and Blood” for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Watch it HERE.
