Dream Wife Releases New Song and Announces Bay Area Tour Date at the Fox

in Music News by

In anticipation of their SXSW and tour with The Kills, the Icelandic band Dream Wife recently share their new single “Somebody.”

This is what the band had to say about the single: “‘Somebody’ is a ballad for women. The song explores the experience of living in a female body within our society. It’s a conversation on the reclamation of bodies by the women who occupy them in a tender, yet direct and empowering way.”

Dream Wife released their debut EP last year via Lucky Number (Hinds, Sleigh Bells), which earned them spins on BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Beats 1, and KEXP, as well as massive support from The FADER, Dazed, The Guardian, i-D, NME, and more. The band has also garnered a well-deserved reputation for their exhilarating live shows, having sold out venues across UK/Europe, played festivals such as Iceland Airwaves, and toured with the likes of Sleigh Bells.
