Com Truise Releases First Album in Six Years, Tour with Stop at the Mezzanine in San Francisco

in New Music by

Seth Haley, also known as Com Truise (a spooneurism of Tom Cruise) is heading out on a 40-date tour with Warp stalwart Clark. He’ll be stopping by the Mezzanine in San Francisco on May 9, for a night filled with pounding drums and 80s Miami-Vice inspired dreamy synths. The LA-based producer will be promoting his latest album, “Iteration,” his first full-length in six years.

About the album Truise had this to say: “I try hard not to write from my personal life, but it’s inevitably going to seep into the music,” Truise explains. “It’s basically like I’m scoring this film in my head, but that film I’m scoring is also somehow my life.”

It was at a time full of uncertainty and transition after making a move from the East Coast native to Los Angeles that inspiration struck for Cruise. After a year and a half of living in California, Cruise finally found new excitement in his work. He said in a press release that, “I put more air, more breathing room in the music, —that was the big change. And once that clicked, the album quickly materialized.“
