Chelsea Wolfe Drops Video for ‘Spun’ and Prepares for Regency Ballroom Show

in New Music by

Chelsea Wolfe just dropped a new video for “Spun,” from her new full-length Hiss Spun. “Spun” is the opening track on the album and features Troy Van Leeuwen of Queens of the Stone Age. About the video Wolfe said:

“Jess, Ben, and I had a lot of fun making this video in the back of a musty old limo in Sacramento with some lovely friends, and featuring pole dancer Felicia Drake. I noticed Felicia tagging me in Instagram videos of her dancing to my songs and thought it was so stunning and empowering, so I reached out to see if she wanted to collaborate on this video. Happily, she was in! She is the siren we seek on our fucked-up journey through memories and dreams.

“We took visual inspiration from the sexy, red-lit confines of a photo darkroom, our favorite 90’s videos like NIN “Starfuckers,” Fiona Apple “Criminal,” and the moods of Garbage “Stupid Girl,” but also from our own lives ‘cause this shit is DIY! Enjoy. Xo”

Chelsea is currently on a North American tour that will stop off in San Francisco at The Regency Ballroom on Nov. 4. Youth Code is opening all shows.
