MUSIC IN SF TONIGHT: Alice Cooper is Coming to The Warfield

in Music News by

Alice Cooper is coming back to San Francisco’s Warfield tonight with his “Spend the Night With Alice Cooper” traveling vaudeville goth-rock show. Known as the originator of shock-rock, Cooper has shaken and stirred the core of audiences worldwide, continuing to surprise fans and exude danger at every turn, by bringing all into his performance that can best be categorized as a horror movie.

Alice has always drawn equally from horror movies, vaudeville, and garage rock, and created what’s considered legendary in classic rock, which is a stage show that features electric chairs, guillotines, fake blood and boa constrictors. He’ll be here this evening to perform at The Warfield a show that he’s taken all around the world.

Alice’s catalog of hits and anthems, including “I’m Eighteen,” “No More Mr Nice Guy,” School’s Out,” “Elected,” “Poison,” and others, are featured in his live show, along with a mix of newer songs, album cuts, and a sequence of cover songs, tributes to his “dead drunk friends,” that inspired a spin-off group, the Hollywood Vampires with friends Johnny Depp and Joe Perry.

Music in SF will be there tonight so stay tuned for a full recap of the show with photos tomorrow.
