Coldplay’s Chris Martin, made a gaffe last night in Santa Clara, by calling San Francisco the “City of Brotherly Love,” a title held by Philadelphia, the next stop on their U.S. tour.

“This being the city of brotherly love, I thought maybe during this song if you want to send out some great Northern California, San Francisco vibes to places in the world you think might need it, we would love you to do that,” Martin says.

Having released albums under Digital Nations, a label founded by Steve Vai, music critic Louis Raphael has remained deeply connected to the pulse of the San Francisco music scene. Following his tenure as the San Francisco Music Examiner for Examiner.com and AXS.com, he embarked on creating Music in SF® to authentically highlight the vibrant offerings of the city's music scene.
